Eddie Roth: St. Louis Problem Solver and Injury Lawyer
Eddie Roth is a lawyer and a journalist who for decades has had a busy litigation practice and been active in community affairs including in a variety of senior positions in St. Louis City government.
He is Of Counsel to the Bruning Law Firm.
Roth has practiced law for 20 years in New York City and St. Louis, with private law firms, including as a longtime law partner to Tony Bruning, and as a law clerk to Chief Judge Lawrence H. Cooke of the New York Court of Appeals.
Roth also has been called to service in St. Louis City government, where was Director of Operations, Director of Public Safety, Deputy Chief of Staff, and Director of Human Services under St. Louis Mayor Francis G. Slay.
He currently serves as a Special Assistant to St. Louis Mayor Lyda Krewson.
Roth also has served as president of the St. Louis Board of Police Commissioners, chairman of the Garden District Commission, as a trustee of the Firemen’s Retirement System of St. Louis, and as president of the Shaw Neighborhood Improvement Association.
Roth worked nearly 10 years as an award-winning newspaper editorial writer, at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and the Dayton Daily News. He currently is the editor and publisher of the Office of Special Inquiries and Reports — @STLinquiry, which provides nonpartisan civic analysis on St. Louis questions and controversies.
Roth grew up in St. Louis County, Missouri (Webster Groves and Lindbergh public schools). He received a bachelor of science degree in economics from New York University, and his law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 1982, where he was Writing & Research Editor of the Fordham Law Review.
