Maureen is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois, as well as the United States District Courts of Southern Illinois and Eastern Missouri. She received her law degree from Saint Louis University School of Law, where she served as an editor on the St. Louis University Public Law Review, as a faculty fellow, and as a law clerk to a circuit court judge in St. Louis County. As an undergraduate student, Maureen was accepted into SLU’s Pre-Law Scholars Program and served as a member of the law fraternity Phi Alpha Delta. When she is not working, Maureen enjoys spending time enjoying the City of St. Louis with her husband and four children.

When Maureen began her legal career, she worked at civil litigation firms in both Chicago and the St. Louis Metropolitan area in which she represented businesses and insurance companies. Several years ago, she moved to representing individuals and families harmed by the negligence of others. Leveraging her experience and knowledge as a former defense attorney allows Maureen to be an effective advocate to ensure the injured clients of the Bruning Law Firm receive full and fair compensation for their injuries.
